In this week’s session, we began by introducing the Arabic letters in their stand-alone form, giving the kids a clear and simple starting point. We also taught them the direction of Arabic writing and helped them understand how nuqtas (dots) are counted and where they are placed—an essential skill as they continue learning.
From there, we moved on to the first four Arabic letters, ensuring the students had time to practice and get comfortable with each one. We wrapped up the session with a memory check on the du‘aa for increasing oneself in knowledge, reinforcing previously learned material.
For reference, the deck we used in this session is as follows:
In our last session for this week (tomorrow), we will be learning about the Pillars of Islam and about Allah. We also have an ambitious plan to begin memorizing Ta‘awwudh, inshaAllah.
Looking forward to another meaningful session ahead.
